When you have developed your website, you will want to list your website in several search engines so that people (surfers) can find you while performing a search on the web.
The most prevailing concept is to submit the website in several search engines. Even though search engines periodically look for new websites, it might not find yours, this is why it is critical to submit your site to the search engines as soon as your site is live (Tip: don’t do it before your site is live, you don’t want them crawling nothing).
A website, which is highly optimized with the proper content and keyword density techniques will normally do better with the search engines in terms of where your site comes up on related searches (I.e. page 1, 2 ,3 and so on). The goal of course is to be on page 1 of search results.
There are many mistakes that new website owners make when it comes to getting listed with the search engines. If you are not experienced in SEO or Up-to-date web coding you may fall into some issues and not get ranked competitively with the SE’s.
My advice would be to contact an experienced web designer that also has extensive knowledge in SEO for a consultation prior to getting started.
