Widescreen websites are becoming more and more popular, as monitor’s and laptops go widescreen many site owners want there sites to fit the full page from left to right. While this is a good idea, having your site with a fixed width widescreen is not such a good idea. If you go fixed width with your new wider site, people on non-widescreen monitors (a huge percentage of pc users) will not see your entire site page, instead they will be forced to scroll right to see the cut of section.

The solution? Go Liquid!

“Liquid Design” in the web design industry means that your web page layout width expands and contracts (stretches) when the browser window is minimized or maximized. As you look at your screen now you may perceive it as a fixed medium, at standard resolution, which never changes and everyone else on the web is seeing webpages the same way you are, however this isn’t always the case. For web designers the monitor screen does not have fixed width or height because these variables change, at times in unpredictable ways. People might have different monitors screen sizes, different screen resolutions, larger or smaller text view settings, larger or smaller browser buttons, additional toolbars to customize there browsers, different browsers, a Favorites page on the left instead of on top, maybe they have added more toolbars to browser and so on. As you can now imagine, the width and height of the screen is different from user to user. Because of this some website owners prefer a Liquid design over a fixed width design to take advantage of every visitors viewing experience by having a liquid web layout expand and adapt itself to the available space of each visitor viewing area.

Other commonly used names for Liquid Web Design are….

* Stretch Width Websites
* Liquid Layout Websites
* Stretchy Websites
* Flexible Width Websites
* Dynamic Width Websites
* Stretched Layout Websites
* Full Width Websites
* Expandable Widths WebSites
* Elastic Width Websites
* Adaptable Width Websites
* Extendable Layout Web site
* Jelly Web Layout

Is Liquid Web Layout good for any layout?
In order to make a decision whether liquid web layout design is what you want, factors such as budget, type of content, structure, amount of information must be taken in consideration. Liquid design may be more costly than Fixed width website design because it may take more time and programming to develop and test.

Do you design Liquid Layout (Strechy/Expandable) Websites?

Yes! I can design either fixed width in any size (common is 800×600) or stretchy flexible liquid width websites, if you would like a quote for a specific website project please use the quote form below (free, with no obligation).

What colors do you want to use, will these colors also look good on print and web?

Should you incorporate your domain name into your logo?

What type of design will help customers easily identify what your business offers?

What size versions do you need for your logo (small, medium, poster size etc)?

Simple logos are infinitely more effective than complex ones. The most memorable logos in the world are always the most simple. Think about it: Nike, Coca-Cola, Target, GM - all of them have minimalist-minded logo designs. I know a few good tips that can help you determine if your logo is too complex. First, using one color in your design is best. After that, logos get proportionally harder to remember as the number of colors increases. Never use more than three colors. Second, don’ t make it too wide or too tall. Logos should not have to be read - only seen. If your logo makes the eye travel to take it all in, people won’t remember it. Third, omit unnecessary information. Don’t use taglines, complete legal company names (i.e. Inc, LLC, Corp, etc), phone numbers and the like.

They are distracting and make the most important information‹your name‹harder to find and remember. Logos, like pictures, can be worth a thousand words (and feelings), so don’t feel like you need to explain yourself too much using words. The way you run your company is what will determine how people feel about you anyway. Forth, don’t use hard to read fonts. Custom fonts can be cool, especially if no one else duplicates it, but be careful with them for two reasons: they can be trendy and fall out of style quickly, and sometimes a highly stylized font can be harder to read, and thus, forgettable.

Remember, there are hundreds of thousands of logos out there, so standing out is important. Perhaps the best way to do that is by making your company’s logo as simple and memorable as possible and by using a reputable design firm. I recommend looking into LogoWorks for quality logo design.

Banner making is an ancient craft which is still very popular in modern day. A banner is just like a flag or a piece of cloth carrying a symbol, logo, slogan or any custom message. The word banner is derived from a Latin name “bandum”, a cloth used to make flags.
Banners are even mentioned in the Old Testament. They were a rallying point in battle. A banner named sashimono was used by Japanese soldiers to identify themselves on the battle field. The 15th and 16th century saw the maximum use of sashimono in feudal Japan. Banners outlived in crusades and in many other battle fields and wars including American Civil War.
Banners are used in the annual Palio race of Italy to distinguish between the individual contrade. This race takes place in many towns across Italy. In Siena the winner is awarded with a silk banner.
What is the difference between a BANNER and a FLAG?
One side of a flag is tied with a pole or mast and the rest of the cloth swirls in the air. Flag is horizontally positioned on a vertical flagpole. A Banner on the other hand has a sleeve on the top of the vertical end. It is hanged vertically off a small pole.
In the modern day and age a there are other forms of banners as well. For example: web banner. A web banner or banner ad is a mode of advertisement on the World Wide Web. This unique form of online advertisement entails embedding an ad into a web page. The motive of such banner ads is to attract more customers to the advertiser’s website.
A simple banner ad can be an image of formats like a GIF or JPEG. Banner ads can also be created of JavaScript program or multimedia object employing technologies such as Java, Shockwave or Flash. These ads are used on a website which usually had very good incoming traffic like an online newspaper or a message board.

What does SEO stand for? Search Engine Optimization; a necessary method to allow search engines to access your website by honing in on your meta tags. You must ensure your tags are properly worded and placed, i.e., using a specific number of characters for your title, keywords, and description, on every page of your website. Ultimately, this will increase your traffic flow. Here are some SEO tips to increase your website’s efficiency.

As stated earlier, meta tags are very important for search engine optimization. In order to determine what type of meta tags to use will require extensive research into each search engine to discover how they obtain their content and what meta tags they require. For example: If you choose Google as your first search engine, check their site to determine how they arrive at keyword results; ranking; and the criteria for deciding page ranking based on consumer inquiries.

It’s important to note that search engines websites are based on the content found on each page of the website. Your main goal, therefore, is to have your website on a search engine’s first or second page. This will not increase your traffic flow, but garner you a successful enterprise as well. It is impossible to predict when and if your site will reach number one status on any search engine, the best you can hope for is a list on the first 100 pages. Neither do you need to have your website on every search engine in existence. If you take the top four search engines and add your website using AdSense or AdWords, this can account for more than 80% of traffic on the web.

There are many search engine optimization companies who may either seek you out, or are available for you to contact to employ their expertise in managing your site for you. Some companies claim they can have you on the first page of every major search engine site within 100 days at a rate of $1800.00 or more. They perform a complete analysis of your site, make recommendations, add all of the necessary and appropriate meta tags, and follow up to ensure they achieve the goals set out for you. However, not everyone who has just ventured into internet marketing can afford this type of service. There are other companies who are affordable, but the search engines they use are well-below the standard SEOs available today.

Conversely, if you have the time, you can certainly list your website with as many search engines as possible. However, in order to be successful you need the tools and the resources to ensure you are correctly engaging keywords which will allow for higher ranking and greater access to your site. This is a daunting task, but it can be done. SEO is vital to the growth and success of your website. Therefore, if at some point you do not render the results hoped for, you may need to hire a company to optimize your site for you.

In this article, you are going to learn 7 important website design tips to make your site more attractive. So not only your website will attract many people, but it will also motivate them to stay for a long time.

1. Be Aware during Selection of the colours scheme:-

If your company has a logo or preferred colours on its stationery that’s a good start. For those of you starting from scratch, choose two or three complementary colours and stick with them – don’t change colours on every page. The most common colour schemes include:

- Red, yellow and white

- Blue and white

- Red, grey and white

- Blue, orange and white

- Yellow, grey and white.

- Onion shade, Tan, white

If you’re not sure what colour scheme to choose, surf the internet and find a website that you like. You can then model your colour scheme on what already exists.

Always Select those colours which Attract the visitors, and the person revisit your site.

2. Page Backgrounds

Ensure your visitors can read the text on the background, i.e. no black writing on dark blue background or yellow on white. Means if the page background is dark always use light colour for the writhing a text or if the light colour is used for the page background the always use dark colour for writing a text, like this colour scheme for the background everything is visible to the visitor. Also be careful that your links are visible before and after being visited. The default for links in most programs is blue (before being visited) and burgundy (after being visited), so if you have a dark background, ensure your links are light.

3. (Page loading) site open within a minutes

All I’ve seen for the last 10 minutes is ‘page loading’, I think something might be wrong with my browser this is probably one of the biggest gripes a site visitor has. If your page takes more than a minute to load (on dial-up) and you have anything less than the meaning of life hidden within your content - something needs to be done. The average person does not have time they just go for another site without passed his time for these type of site those take time to open. So a good website takes less time for loading a site.

4. Appropriate page Size

Web pages are measured in pixels. Pixels are the unit of measurement for the screen. A Web page can literally be any size. Standard Web pages usually fit into a few sizes:

* W × H * 600 × 800 * 640 × 480 (Dream weaver default) * 1024 × 768 * 550 × 400 (Flash default)

The default Web page sizes provided in Web friendly applications and listed earlier are a great place to start. You will probably use a smaller, custom size for pop-up windows. The Web page size you choose is up to you. Remember to use actual space for the Web page effectively so that the content is in the proper proximity to the user’s navigation patterns. Web page size affects the way users move around the Web pages and the Web portfolio site. One rule: Pick a size for all main screens and stick to it.

5. Logo

Create a simple logo to identity your website. Have a captivating tag line somewhere with the header, and write an About Us page which describes the uniqueness of your website. These will leave an impression for your visitors to remember your website.

6. Application of graphic designs

you must be careful in choosing for the appropriate design that will best represent your projects, and tell about your business. Create a design which coveys in a stylish way what it has to

7. Be aware about grammar and spell

Grammar is overrated [and the spill-checker too] Most web authoring and word processing software comes with a spell/grammar check utility - don’t let your hard earned money go to waste, use it. Some of the more common grammatical mistakes are misusing its, it’s, there, their, they’re, your, you’re, and noone (correct=no one). Proof reading your final product is also helpful. No one is infallible, that’s why pencils have erasers and computer programs have [ctrl+z].

Is There Really A Pay-Per-Click Formula For Success?

Affiliate marketers are keen at finding ways to get merchants in front of potential customers. There’s article marketing, building niche websites, forum marketing, social network marketing, and pay-per-click, to name a few.

Which Formula Is Right For You?

Each of these marketing strategies varies widely in the amount of time and money invested to capture targeted traffic to merchant goods and services. For instance, forum marketing and social network marketing require very little time or money. Article marketing requires no investment of capital, but can take a great deal of time depending on how efficient you are as a writer. Building niche websites is even more time-consuming, plus you have to shell out funds to purchase a domain name and cover hosting fees. All of these methods are great ways to earn income by driving targeted traffic to merchants who pay a commission on each sale you generate for them.

But there is another highly lucrative business model that you might want to consider. Now be warned, perfecting this method is not easy. Simple mistakes in your execution could cost you hundreds of dollars. But if you can decipher the formula, pay-per-click advertising, or can pay off handsomely.

More specifically, we’re talking about the pay-per-click to cost-per-acquisition business model, also known as PPC to CPA or traffic brokering. If you have been in the internet marketing arena for any length of time, you have at least a general idea about the marketing methods discussed above, but very little is talked about or even known about using PPC to drive laser-targeted traffic to lead offers. Now generally, CPA offers pay less than a few dollars for each lead generated, but if you know the formula for capturing pay-per-click traffic that converts, there is the potential to make hundreds and even thousands of dollars a day.

The method behind using PPC to drive traffic to high-converting CPA offers is to get your pay-per-click ad in front of as many qualified visitors as possible. There are many different underground techniques to do this (they are “underground” because a very large majority of PPC marketers do not use or even know about these strategies). Now, you shouldn’t be buying ads targeting general keywords and phrases, that would be silly. Not only will you get tons of untargeted traffic, your ad costs would be astronomical. What you want to do is target some of the lesser-known search terms – terms that even the most savvy PPC marketer wouldn’t think of bidding on. You essentially want to cast a wide net which targets as much traffic as possible, while keeping your costs as low as possible. This is the key to creating the perfect pay-per-click formula.

Why Is Pay-Per-Click to CPA Info Hard-To-Find?

There is very little information on the Internet about PPC to CPA marketing. Maybe it’s because this method is so new and smart PPC marketers are still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Or maybe it’s so obtuse that there is no one right way to do it. The most likely reason is this – the guys making the big bucks have secretly discovered the ideal pay-per-click formula and are keeping it all to themselves.

This program is very simple to download, entirely free and really works!

Requiring no sponsoring, no costs at all to join, once it has been set up, the only thing you do is leave your computer on and the system will just automatically run and you can trace your income by the second.

This program operates comparable to “click on a search engine and get paid” programs, with the exception of the following:

1.It is run automatically similar to auto surf, so there is no need for you to click on any link.

2.It does not provide you with only one search engine, but there are at least twenty one now running.

If you continually run your computer for twenty four hours a day, you may earn up to fifteen dollars a day. At the end of the month, when they will be adding up to two hundred more search engines, you may earn up to sixty dollars a day, not doing anything, just be online.

In addition, you get another five percent of your referrals running time; these referrals could go as far as four levels.

Every search engine builds up an independent total of your time surfing. You must reach sixty dollars before payment be done by each of the search engine.

Normally, when you are running your computer online for twenty four hours each day, without any referral, for you to reach sixty dollars, it would more or less take you up to two months, with the now running twenty four search engines. Now consider this, sixty multiplied by twenty four will equal to one thousand four hundred forty. This is how much you will make in two months, of doing nothing.

18.Do not adjust any settings. You can minimize the window and still work on your normal computer wok. It will just continue on clicking the search engines and will never interfere with what you do. These are search engines that use up or get a run through this particular program. They are doing this and making payments to improve or increase their numbers so they can have a better chance to compete with google or yahoo.

Spreading out your focus for SEO can ensure that if one search engine brings your site down in rankings after a big algorithm update, you’ll still get trickle in traffic from the other engines while you play catch up on the newer tactics.
